If you want to become a Disney travel agent from home, the process is straightforward. First, complete the Disney College of Knowledge training to learn about Disney destinations. Next, join a trusted host agency or franchise such as Cruise Planners, which provides the tools, support, and systems you need to launch and manage your business. From there, you can start helping families plan magical Disney vacations while earning commissions from the comfort of your own home.

If you’re planning to invest in a travel franchise in 2026, you’re entering at the perfect time. Travel demand continues to rise, supported by data from the U.S. Travel Association showing consistent gains in leisure travel spending year over year. Consumers are seeking expert help for more complex trips, and franchise systems offer an easier, faster and more profitable path to business ownership.

Starting a travel agency franchise shouldn’t mean overpaying for the basics. At Cruise Planners, we believe affordability isn’t about cutting corners — it’s about giving entrepreneurs everything they need to succeed without hidden costs or inflated fees. In the travel industry, “low-cost” often refers to an entry-level price, but true affordability comes from a transparent fee structure, fair royalties, and ongoing support that helps you grow. That’s exactly what our travel franchise model delivers. If you’re still researching your options, you can learn more about how we compare by reading Breaking Down Travel Franchise Fees and Real ROI and Why Franchise Transparency Matters for Travel Business Owners.

Launching a home-based travel franchise offers flexibility, unlimited earning potential, and the chance to help clients plan meaningful experiences. However, many new travel agents unknowingly take missteps early on that delay their growth. With over 59,000 travel agents working in the U.S. workforce according to national labor data, and a large percentage operating from home, competition is strong. Starting with clarity and structure is essential.

A Celebration of Connection, Inspiration, and Opportunity Every year, our Cruise Planners family celebrates success, shares new ideas, and plans for the future. The 2025 CP World Convention was one of our most exciting gatherings yet. Held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and continuing aboard Royal Caribbean’s Wonder of the Seas, this multi-day event brought together travel franchise owners from across the U.S. Our convention theme, “CP World: Rock On”, reflected the energy and passion that drives our network of travel advisors every day. From best-in-industrytechnology to award-winningmarketing tools and advanced training programs, we showed exactly how we continue to help our franchise owners grow thriving travel businesses.

Starting a travel business is exciting, but one of the first questions many aspiring advisors ask is whether they need a travel agent license — and how much it costs. The answer depends on where you live and how you plan to structure your business.
