How would you describe the people and culture of this destination? Any interesting cultural lessons? Muslims, Jews and Christians living side by side. Palestinian territory. Jewish guide with a Muslim driver.
What is something people would be surprised to learn about this destination? The recent archeological sites still being unearthed. How peaceful it is. What we hear in our media is not always reality.
Top 5 Tips and recommendations for this trip: Stay in Jerusalem. You can visit sites in the evening easier than when the tourist crowds are visiting during the day.
Did you travel via cruise ship? If so, please describe the experience and some of the standout features that you ere excited about. This was an escorted land tour. Small group. We were very flexible when arriving at sites. Larger groups would make way for us.

What makes this destination a must-see in your opinion? Religious, cultural and historical reasons make Israel important to western civilization.
Additional thoughts and insights? Everyone knows English. Not a problem. Signs are in Hebrew and Arabic mainly. Some English signs but I found myself searching for them. People were friendly and very helpful.
