There are all types of Fathers from all walks of life. If you are a believer, God the Father, who reigns supreme of all Fathers; there were the forefathers and the pioneers of our great country. Our Father, Abe Lincoln who changed the world and set the example for Freedom for our country. Fathers who fought in the military and many of them who gave up their lives for the families of America.

Then there are those Fathers who take care of us. The Firemen, the Police Officers, Emergency Service Volunteers. Today we also remember the Fathers of 911 and all the Fathers who either suffered or died needlessly through acts of terrorism or thoughtless acts.

All Fathers are important and need to be honored today…Let’s honor them with some famous quotes:

“The most important thing a father can do
for his children is to love their mother.”

When I was a boy of fourteen, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be twenty-one, I was astonished at how much he had learned in seven years. Father’s Day Quote by: Mark Twain, “Old Times on the Mississippi” Atlantic Monthly, 1874
I don’t care how poor a man is; if he has family, he’s rich.
Father’s Day Quote by: M*A*S*H, Colonel Potter

Oh, the comfort, the inexpressible comfort of feeling safe with a person, having neither to weigh thoughts nor measure words, but pouring them all out, just as they are, chaff and grain together, certain that a faithful hand will take and sift them, keep what is worth keeping, and with a breath of kindness blow the rest away.
Father’s Day Quote by: Dinah Craik

Spread the diaper in the position of the diamond with you at bat. Then fold second base down to home and set the baby on the pitcher’s mound. Put first base and third together, bring up home plate and pin the three together. Of course, in case of rain, you gotta call the game and start all over again.
Father’s Day Quote by: Jimmy Piersal, on how to diaper a baby, 1968
