As you stand there on that Exotic Island and gaze out at the sea, are you thinking, “Gee, I could live like this forever. No more worrying about deadlines, quotas, punching a clock or staying overtime without compensation.”
You then pinch yourself and say, “Wake Up! You have to face reality, you can’t be on vacation all the time, you have to earn a living, don’t you…well don’t you?”
Many Baby Boomers have that dream. This of course was before the market decline, the housing boom and decline. In addition, gas prices skyrocketed, we are faced with higher taxes, lower wages, and food prices soaring faster than gas is, if you can believe it. Therefore, does that mean that your dream has to be tabled, forgotten, or do you just have to pinch yourself and say, “forget it…it ain’t going to happen” (Pardon the grammar).
