CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – September 23, 2012 – Cruise Planners—American Express Travel, the nation’s largest home-based travel agent franchise network in the travel industry, is celebrating its 20 year anniversary at its upcoming annual convention. As it’s come to be expected, this year’s convention will be bursting with “Cruisitude”™ in signature Cruise Planners style, with more festivities than ever before to mark this company milestone.
Taking place October 24-27, 2013 at the Westin Diplomat Resort & Spa in Hollywood, Fla., this is Cruise Planners’ key event of the year where the company will release new programs and products for 2014, talk about travel trends and bring agents and travel partners together for insider scoop. This year’s sold-out event is themed “Power in Partnerships” and will focus on the importance of Cruise Planners partnerships with cruise lines, land vacations, tour operators and more. Nearly 500 agents will be attending to immerse themselves in the latest travel-related news and will then board the North American debut sailing of Princess Cruises’ Royal Princess from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale on October 27, 2013.
From what started with just five people in the first training class, Cruise Planners has made its mark on the travel industry with more than 800 travel franchisees to date. Pre-training sessions, trade show and welcome reception take place on Thursday, October 24. Opening day kicks off the convention on Friday, October 25, with a multitude of products, sales, trends, programs and more being announced that are not to be missed. Breakout sessions will commence on Saturday, October 26, with everything wrapping up on Sunday, October 27 before boarding the Royal Princess.
